On Wednesday night, a man lost his life following a single-vehicle accident in Millbrae.
As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash was reported just after 9:45 p.m. in the area of the Millbrae Avenue off-ramp from southbound Highway 101. The early reports showed that a San Francisco man in his 50s apparently tried to go off the highway at the off-ramp but failed to maintain control of the motorcycle and slammed into a wall.
The motorcycle rider died of his injuries at the scene. The off-ramp was shut down for more than two hours, reopening early Thursday morning. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
