Man injured after being hit by a car in Quincy (Quincy, WA)

A man received injuries after getting struck by a vehicle Saturday in Quincy.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place on F Street just after 7 p.m. The preliminary reports showed that the man was walking in a crosswalk when a Honda Civic hit him. The male pedestrian suffered a head injury. He was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

The involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. Officials confirmed a citation to the driver for failing to yield the right of way. Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be involved in the accident. No further details are available.

The incident remains under investigation.
