Man in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle in Santa Ana (Santa Ana, CA)

A man was critically injured after getting struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning in Santa Ana.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place at about 1:47 a.m. in the 900 block of South Harbor Boulevard, just south of West Kent Avenue. The preliminary reports showed that a vehicle hit a male pedestrian for reasons that are yet to be known.

On arrival, paramedics rushed the victim to UCI Medical Center with critical injuries. The involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. The identity of the injured pedestrian has not been released at this time. No other details are available.

The incident remains under review.
