On Wednesday, one person suffered injuries following a traffic accident in Lafayette.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash took place shortly before 2 p.m. in the 500 block of Louisiana Avenue, close to S. Sterling Street. The early reports revealed that the man was inside a vehicle heading southbound on South Sterling when his vehicle crashed into another vehicle going on Louisiana Avenue towards the Evangeline Thruway.
Due to the impact, he was ejected from the rear of his vehicle. On arrival, medical personnel rushed the man to an area hospital with serious injuries and he is currently listed in critical condition. No further details were provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
