Man in critical condition after a motorcycle crash on Holland’s North Side (Holland Township, MI)

On Thursday afternoon, a man suffered critical injuries while a woman was hurt following a two-vehicle collision on Holland’s North Side.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the intersection of Lakewood Boulevard and North Park Drive at 1:38 PM after getting reports of a motorcycle crash. The early reports showed that a 28-year-old Holland man was riding his motorcycle eastbound.

For unknown reasons, he crashed into a westbound SUV, driven by a 66-year-old woman from the downriver Detroit suburb of Southgate, who was trying to turn left. Due to the impact, the man was thrown from his motorcycle. He sustained critical injuries as a result of the collision.

The motorcyclist was reportedly wearing a helmet at that time. The woman received minor ailments. Both the victims were rushed to unknown hospitals for treatment of their injuries. No other details are made available.

An investigation in to the crash is ongoing.
