On early Sunday, a man suffered critical injuries following a multi-vehicle accident in Detroit.
As per the initial information, the four-vehicle pile-up took place on I-75 at 2:45 a.m. on the northbound side of the freeway. The preliminary investigation indicated that a Nissan Rouge was going in the right lane through a construction zone when it was hit by a Mercedes Sedan from behind. A Ram 1500 then rear-ended the Mercedes Sedan.
A GMC SUV also crashed despite the driver attempting to avoid the collision. A man driving the Mercedes sustained critical injuries. No one else received major injuries in the crash. According to the officers, it appears that the drivers of the Mercedes, Ram, and GMC were following too closely. No other details are available.
The crash remains under investigation.
