Man hurt after he crashes his vehicle into a concrete pillar on I-5 (Mountlake Terrace, WA)

On Wednesday night, a man was hurt after his vehicle slammed into a concrete pillar on I-5.

As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place at about 10:45 on Interstate 5 at 236th St. SW. This is the Mountlake Terrace Bus Loading Station. The preliminary investigation indicated that a 2001 Ford Ranger pickup took a bus-only lane and collided head-on with a concrete pillar.

Reports further added that the truck used an off-ramp in the far-left lane, used only for buses. The man required serious medical treatment after the collision. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Officials shut down the off-ramp as crews worked at the scene. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
