Man hospitalized after an auto-pedestrian crash in Union City (Union City, CA)

A man received injuries after getting struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in Union City.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian collision took place at about 4:07 p.m. on Whipple Road and Medallion Drive. Authorities actively responded to the scene and, on arrival, found a male pedestrian with serious injuries. He was rushed to a hospital.

On the other hand, the driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. The driver did not seem to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The identity of the victim has not been released at this time. No further details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
