Man hospitalized after a vehicle slams into Whataburger building (Corpus Christi, TX)

A man received injuries after a vehicle crashed into Whataburger building Tuesday morning in Corpus Christi.

As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place at about 8:45 a.m. on Cimarron and Saratoga. The early reports showed that a woman was backing out of a parking space when her foot slipped and hit the gas, causing her to slam into the side of the Whataburger building.

A few people inside at a table incurred minor injuries. According to the authorities, a man was transported to the hospital with non-critical injuries. The Whataburger was heavily damaged due to the crash. The driver was not injured or cited. It is unknown if the Whataburger location will be closed down for repairs. No other information is available.

The incident remains under review.
