According to a police sergeant, a pedestrian crash was reported in Dallas on Saturday night.
The official reported that at around 9 p.m. the crash occurred in the 3800 block of East Illinois Avenue.
A man was reported to be walking on Illinois and used the crosswalk at the wrong light.
An SUV traveling westbound on the avenue struck the victim in the middle of the roadway.
The officials reported that the driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with them.
Paramedics transported the injured victim to the hospital where he was pronounced dead by the authorities.
The officials are yet to determine the identity of the deceased victim.
No additional information regarding the crash was provided by the police sergeant.
