A man lost his life after being struck by a car Monday near La Jolla Village.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian accident took place on the southbound freeway at Nobel Drive. The early report showed that the pedestrian was walking near traffic at around 11:09 p.m. Monday when he was hit by a Toyota sedan driven by a 23-year-old man on the southbound freeway at Nobel Drive.
The victim was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The incident impacted traffic in the area until 4 a.m. As of now, it is unknown if drugs and alcohol were involved in the collision. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
The accident remains under investigation.
