A man lost his life after getting hit by a vehicle Sunday in Pomona.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place at about 8:28 p.m. on Towne Avenue and Alcott Street. Authorities actively responded to the scene and, on arrival, found an unresponsive adult male pedestrian down in lanes of traffic.
The pedestrian was rushed to a nearby hospital via an ambulance, but he succumbed to his injuries. The male driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No further details are available.
The accident remains under investigation.
