Man dead after being hit by a vehicle on Chapman Avenue (Fullerton, CA)

On Tuesday night, a man lost his life after getting struck by a vehicle on Chapman Avenue.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place shortly after 6:35 p.m. on 2501 E Chapman Avenue, west of 57 Freeway near Cal State Fullerton. The early reports showed that the vehicle was traveling west on Chapman Avenue near Clarke Avenue while the man was crossing northbound across Chapman Avenue when he got hit.

On arrival, medical personnel rushed the man to a hospital where he later died of his injuries. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Officials believe that drugs, alcohol, and speed did not contribute to the accident. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
