On Sunday evening, a man lost his life after getting struck by a vehicle on Route 94 in the Golden Hill neighborhood of San Diego.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash was reported at 10:58 p.m. on the westbound 94 Freeway at 28th Street. The preliminary investigation showed that a vehicle struck a person for undetermined reasons. The pedestrian was located in the No. 1 lane. An eyewitness informed the officers that they heard a male shouting that he had been struck by a vehicle.
On arrival, emergency responders performed CPR on the victim, but by 11:25 p.m. it was reported that the man succumbed to his injuries. At this time, it is unknown if the vehicle that hit the pedestrian stopped at the scene or not after the collision. No further details were provided.
