On late Tuesday night, a man lost his life after being hit by a train in Atlanta.
As per the initial information, the fatal pedestrian crash took place along Peachtree Hills Avenue. The preliminary reports showed that two men were walking on the tracks when one of them got struck by a train while another managed to jump from the elevated tracks to survive.
The man died of his injuries after the accident. The victim was described by officers as a Hispanic man in his 30s. The train belonged to Norfolk Southern, officials said. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are made available.
