A man lost his life after being struck by a vehicle Sunday in Reno.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian collision took place at about 3:30 a.m. on East 2nd Street West, west of Galletti Way. The early reports showed that the pedestrian was walking on Second Street he was hit by an eastbound vehicle.
According to the authorities, the motorist did not flee the scene, and was not speeding or impaired at the time of the collision. The road was shut down to give way to the investigation, and reopened just before 7 a.m. No additional information is available.
An investigation is ongoing.
