On Wednesday, a man lost his life after getting struck by a truck on I-10 West in New Orleans.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place at approximately 3:45 a.m. The preliminary investigation revealed that a man was walking along the interstate approaching the Carrollton Avenue exit when he was hit by a pick-up truck.
The man suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The driver of the truck stayed at the scene after the collision. A part of I-10 West was shut down at the Claiborne flyover and Canal Street but has since been reopened. No other details are immediately available.
The incident remains under investigation.
