On Friday, a man lost his life after getting struck by a vehicle in San Diego.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place at approximately 1:55 a.m. on I-5, just north of Sea World Drive. The preliminary reports revealed that a blue Hyundai Sedan hit the man in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5. The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Several lanes were shut down for more than two hours as crews worked at the scene. The 27-year-old driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene after the collision. At this time, it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the accident. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No further details were provided.
