A man in his 30s lost his life after a rollover crash late Thursday night on the city’s Southeast Side.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle collision took place just before 10:30 p.m. on SE Loop 410, close to New Sulphur Springs Road. Multiple agencies responded to the scene. The early reports showed that a sedan and a Chevrolet Avalanche were traveling on the highway when, for an undetermined reason, they crashed into each other.
Due to the impact, the driver of the Chevrolet Avalanche lost control of the vehicle and flipped down a hill. The Avalanche’s driver was eventually pulled out of the vehicle by emergency crews, but was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the sedan had no apparent injuries. No charges are expected to be filed at this time. No other details are available.
The crash remains under investigation.
