Man dead after a mini-motorcycle crash in Bakersfield (Bakersfield, CA)

On Sunday night, a man lost his life following a two-vehicle collision in Bakersfield.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place shortly before 8:00 p.m. on Harris Road and Old River Road. The preliminary investigation indicated that the man was traveling in an off-road mini-motorcycle when the four-door Sedan driver hit him. Responding officers determined that the mini-motorcycle was not street legal and did not have lights at the time of the accident.

The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. The driver of the Sedan stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Officials believe that drugs or alcohol did not contribute to the crash. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation is ongoing.
