On Friday, a man lost his life after being hit by a vehicle on Highway 178.
As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash was reported at about 10:25 a.m. in the center divider of Highway 178 near Beale Avenue. The preliminary investigation showed that a vehicle struck the man for reasons that are yet to be known. The man died of his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the involved vehicle fled the scene after the collision. Officials have not provided any details about the suspect and the hit-and-run vehicle. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No additional information has been released.
