On late Wednesday night, a man lost his life after possibly being struck by a vehicle in Modesto.
As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash was reported a little before 11 p.m. at the intersection of McHenry and Standiford Avenues. Officers got a report of a person down in the roadway. On arrival, responders found a man who seemed to have been hit by a vehicle.
The victim was soon declared dead at the scene by the officials. Authorities have not provided any details about the possible vehicle that hit the man. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No additional information has been released.
The incident remains under review.
