Man dead after a fiery, single-vehicle accident on Tulane Avenue (New Orleans, LA)

A man lost his life following a fiery crash on Tulane Avenue.

As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle accident took place at about 1:39 a.m. in the 2000 block of Tulane Avenue in which a pickup truck was involved. The early reports showed that the man was traveling at a high rate of speed in the riverbound lane of Tulane Avenue when he failed to maintain control of the vehicle and hit a pole.

The impact ejected the man from the vehicle and the truck caught fire. The man suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Officer will reveal the identity of the deceased and find out the official cause of death after completion of autopsy and notification of family. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
