On Saturday evening, a man lost his life while another person suffered injuries after a two-vehicle accident in Dayton that also closed a portion of US-50.
As per the initial information, the fatal car crash was reported moments before 2:30 p.m. in the area of River Boat Road. The early reports showed that a Volkswagen Sedan and a Ford Explorer crashed head-on into each other for undetermined reasons.
According to the officials, a man was killed as a result of the collision. A second driver was rushed to the hospital where they are expected to survive. Authorities closed both directions of travel as crews worked at the scene. No other details are available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
