Man critically injured after getting hit by a vehicle in east Austin (Austin, TX)

A man received critical, life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle in east Austin.

As per the initial information, authorities actively responded to the area at Oak Springs Drive and Airport Boulevard just before 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon after getting reports of an auto-pedestrian collision. On arrival, first responders rushed the adult male victim to Dell Seaton Medical Center in critical condition.

It is unknown if the involved driver remained at the scene or not after the accident. Officials asked drivers in the area to anticipate delays. The identity of the injured pedestrian remains undisclosed. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
