Two men were injured after a traffic accident Saturday in Riverside.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle crash was reported at 2:18 a.m. on Jurupa Avenue and Pachappa Drive, a residential area in the Magnolia Center neighborhood. The preliminary reports showed that a vehicle veered off a roadway and went over an embankment into a railroad cut in Riverside.
One man received critical injuries while the other man incurred minor injuries. Both men managed to get out of the vehicle on their own after the crash, but needed to be removed from the trench by emergency responders. The incident briefly affected Union Pacific Railroad trains that use the tracks where the vehicle landed. No other details are available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
