A man was left in critical condition following a rollover crash early Wednesday on East Freeway.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident was reported at about 3:30 a.m. at Westbound I-10 near Mercury. The early reports showed that a male driver, believed to be 25 to 30 years old, was involved in the crash. The vehicle was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed on main lanes of I-10.
At some point of time, the vehicle veered off the roadway and rolled between three and five times before coming to a stop on the feeder road. The driver was reportedly thrown from the vehicle during the crash. He was rushed to Ben Taub Hospital for treatment. No other details are available.
