A man was left in critical condition after a rollover accident Saturday on the city’s Northwest Side.
As per the initial information, the single-car crash took place at about 1:20 a.m. on IH 10 at NW Loop 410. The man, 30, was driving a Toyota 4Runner and was traveling south on IH-10 when he exited onto the NW Loop 410 ramp and collided with the attenuator when he changed lanes to exit.
The SUV flipped multiple times due to the crash. The man was thrown from the vehicle during the process. The front seat passenger was buckled up and did incur a minor injury. She was not hospitalized. The driver was rushed to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries, and he underwent emergency surgery. No other details are available.
The incident remains under review.
