Male pedestrian seriously injured after getting hit by a vehicle in Tucson (Tucson, AZ)

A male pedestrian received serious injuries after getting struck by a vehicle Wednesday in Tucson.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian collision took place near Fort Lowell and Stone Avenue. On arrival, first responders rushed the man to a hospital in serious condition. The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time.

It is also unclear if the involved driver remained at the scene or not after hitting the pedestrian. The identity of the injured pedestrian has not been released. A portion of Fort Lowell was blocked, but the roadway was back open by 5:30 p.m. No other details were provided.

The incident remains under active review.
