Male pedestrian injured after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 33 (Fresno County, CA)

On Friday, a man suffered injuries after being hit by a vehicle on Highway 33.

As per the initial information, the hit-and-run crash took place at about 9 a.m. north of Sutter Avenue, between Coalinga and Avenal. Once officers arrived, they found the victim with major injuries on the road.

According to the responders, broken vehicle parts were found at the scene. Authorities said that a gray vehicle with no right-side mirror is a possible suspect. The identity of the injured pedestrian has not been revealed at this time. No other details are immediately available.

The incident remains under active review.
