Male pedestrian dead after being hit by a vehicle in East Pasadena (Pasadena, CA)

A man believed to be in his 70s lost his life after getting struck by a vehicle in East Pasadena.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash was reported at 8:33 p.m. on the Rosemead Boulevard ramp. The early reports showed that the elderly man was walking on an on-ramp to the Foothill (210) Freeway in Arcadia when he was hit by a vehicle.

The driver involved stayed at the scene after the accident. The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The CHP announced a SigAlert for the Rosemead Boulevard on-ramp to the eastbound Foothill Freeway to give way to the investigation. No other details are available.

The incident remains under review.
