Male pedestrian dead after a hit-and-run accident in central Fresno (Fresno, CA)

A male pedestrian lost his life after being struck by a vehicle Saturday night in central Fresno.

As per the initial information, the authorities actively responded to the area of Belmont Avenue and First Street just before midnight on reports of a hit-and-run crash. On arrival, first responders found a man, possibly in his 50s, lying in the road.

The driver had reportedly left the scene. EMS was unable to revive him and he was declared dead at the scene. No details are available regarding the suspect or their vehicle. No further information is available.

The incident remains under active review.
