A 26-year-old man from Madison died Sunday afternoon following a crash on Route M in Randolph County that involved a horse-drawn buggy, according to KMIZ.

The collision occurred just before 4:30 p.m., when a 75-year-old Moberly woman was driving a Ford Escape westbound on Route M, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. The Ford Escape collided with the buggy, resulting in the death of the 26-year-old man.

Two women involved in the crash sustained injuries, KMIZ reported. Their current conditions have not been released.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. No further details about the sequence of events leading up to the collision have been made public.
