A 29-year-old Lawson man died Wednesday morning following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of MO-92 and Jesse James Farm Road in Clay County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 8:05 a.m., the Patrol's online crash report states. A 2015 Chevrolet Cruze traveling west collided with a 2026 Thomas schoolbus heading south through the intersection.
The Cruze's driver, the 29-year-old Lawson man, sustained fatal injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the Patrol reported. Two juvenile occupants aboard the schoolbus suffered minor injuries; at least one was taken for medical care, according to the crash report.
Moisture was in the air at the time of the crash, with weather data showing moderate rain falling in the area, according to open-meteo weather records.
