Authorities identified Juan Perez, of Fort Worth, as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle accident Friday morning on SH 183 while the other driver was arrested.
As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place on State Highway 183 near I-20 in Benbrook. The preliminary reports showed that Perez was riding his bike on SH 183 when his motorcycle was rear-ended, sending him careening down the pavement.
He succumbed to his injuries as a result of the collision. The driver of the vehicle that struck him was taken into custody. Raymond Hawkins remains jailed in Fort Worth on a charge of intoxicated manslaughter with a vehicle. No other information is available.
An investigation is ongoing.
