A 73-year-old Joplin man died Thursday evening in a single-vehicle crash on South Main Street south of Shoal Cliff Drive, according to a preliminary online crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The patrol reported the crash occurred at approximately 7:32 p.m. on September 3, 2026, in Newton County. The driver was operating a 2008 Jeep Wrangler traveling south on South Main Street at the time of the crash, the report states.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. No other vehicles were reported to be involved.
