Jefferson County Crash on I-55 Leaves One Driver Seriously Injured

A two-vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 55 in Jefferson County left one person with serious injuries, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

According to the Patrol, a 2017 Freightliner tractor trailer and a 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer, both traveling southbound, were involved in the crash. A 49-year-old male driver from Byrnes Mill, Missouri, sustained serious injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the Patrol reported.
