On Thursday morning, a crash in LaPlace led to injuries.
As per the initial information, the traffic collision took place on Interstate 10 at mile marker 203. According to the officials, Airmed responded to the scene and moderate injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
Traffic was backed up near Belle Terre exit and was directed to the Belle Terre exit 206 as crews worked at the scene. One lane was open to traffic at 10 a.m. and the other lane remained blocked. Motorists were advised to take alternate routes. No further details were provided.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
