On Saturday, a car ran into a restaurant in Detroit, injuring the customers inside.
As per the initial information, the hit-and-run crash took place at about 12:46 a.m. The preliminary investigation showed that an SUV smashed into Zorba’s Coney Island on Detroit’s east side. According to the reports, the vehicle plowed through the restaurant’s front doors, where multiple customers were standing or sitting.
Officials stated that no serious injuries were reported as a result of the collision; however, it seems that some customers were hit or displaced by the vehicle and debris. The driver and a passenger in the vehicle reportedly came out of the car and left the scene after the crash. Both suspects have been identified as of Saturday evening, authorities said. It is unknown if they have been arrested. No further information was provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
