High speed led to 11-vehicle pile-up in San Francisco; minor injuries reported (San Francisco, CA)

On Tuesday morning, minor injuries were reported following a multi-vehicle accident on a freeway in San Francisco.

As per the initial information, the 11-vehicle pile-up took place at approximately 7:30 a.m. on northbound Interstate 280, south of Ocean Avenue in San Francisco. The early reports showed that drivers were going too fast with the sun in their eyes that resulted in the wreck.

Officials confirmed that only minimal injuries were reported as a result of the accident, but it is unknown how many victims in total were involved. No additional information has been provided by the authorities.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
