On Wednesday, a Fresno police officer was killed in a bike crash near Shaver Lake. According to the California Highway Patrol, the bicycle crash happened on McKinley Grove Road near the Wishon Campground on Saturday morning at around 10:30 a.m.
According to investigators, Hunt was riding his bike north on the right-hand shoulder when he struck a southbound Toyota Tundra. An unknown reason caused Hunt to slide and be struck by the vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash is yet to be identified.
