Four people received injuries following a head-on crash early Friday morning on the city’s West Side.
As per the initial information, the wrong-way collision took place at about 2:20 a.m. near Culebra Road and 22nd Street, close to Woodlawn Lake. According to the authorities, a deputy saw a stolen vehicle and tried to pull the driver over. The driver instead took off, leading to the vehicle chase through a West Side neighborhood.
The driver eventually ended up on Culebra Road, but went the wrong way. The vehicle then collided with into another vehicle head-on. Each of the vehicles was occupied by two people. All the four people were transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries. At this time, it is unknown exactly what charges could be pending. No other details are available.
