A 79-year-old Forsyth man died following a single-vehicle crash on Highway Y near Mt. Vernon Road, about two miles southwest of Forsyth, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report.
The crash was recorded at 1:30 p.m. on August 11, 2026, the Patrol said. Investigators reported that a 2026 Toyota Prius was traveling southbound on Highway Y at the time of the incident.
The driver, identified only as a 79-year-old man from Forsyth, sustained fatal injuries, the Patrol's preliminary report states. He was transported for medical treatment following the crash.
