Five people, including a 1-year-old toddler were injured after a crash Saturday on Highway 50.

As per the initial information, the authorities actively responded to the freeway’s westbound lanes after getting reports of a single-vehicle accident at around 6pm. Five people inside the vehicle received injures in the crash. A 19-year-old female and a 1-year-old toddler were ejected from the vehicle due to the collision.

They had critical injuries. Another female passenger sustained moderate injuries. She was flown to the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. A 3-year-old passenger received minor to moderate injuries while a male adult driver incurred minor injuries. The adult male driver cooperated with the investigators. Alcohol was believed to be involved in this crash. No arrest was made in this accident.

The incident remains under review.
