Five people were injured Thursday evening when a car and a pickup truck collided on Republic Road just west of Springfield, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:46 p.m. on June 25, 2026, involving a 2008 Mazda 3 traveling northbound and a 2024 GMC Sierra traveling eastbound, the Patrol's preliminary online crash report states. Troop D responded to the scene, located about a quarter mile west of Springfield.
According to the Patrol, all five occupants involved in the crash sustained minor injuries and were transported for medical treatment. Those injured included a 25-year-old male driver from Springfield, a 42-year-old male driver from Springfield, a 41-year-old female occupant from Springfield, and two juvenile occupants.
