Five people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on US-50 east of NE 501st Road in Johnson County the evening of July 31, 2026, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The Patrol's preliminary crash report states the collision occurred around 7:30 p.m. and involved a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse and a 2025 Jeep Wrangler, both traveling eastbound at the time.

All five occupants involved were transported for medical treatment, the Patrol reported. A 19-year-old male driver from Holts Summit sustained minor injuries, while a 49-year-old male driver from Warrensburg also suffered minor injuries. Three others — a juvenile, a 38-year-old woman from Warrensburg and a 65-year-old woman from Warrensburg — sustained moderate injuries, according to the report.

The crash falls under the jurisdiction of Troop A, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
