A three-vehicle crash on US-36 in Monroe City left five people with minor injuries, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The collision was reported around 11:55 a.m. on August 19, 2026, in Marion County, per the agency's preliminary crash report.

The patrol said the crash involved a 2022 Ford Explorer traveling eastbound, a 2022 Freightliner 114SD traveling westbound, and a 2021 Kia Seltos traveling northbound.

According to the highway patrol's report, those injured included a 26-year-old woman from Macon, Missouri, who was driving one of the vehicles, and a 68-year-old woman from Centerville, Iowa, who was driving another. A 21-year-old woman also from Macon sustained minor injuries, as did two juvenile occupants. All five were transported for medical treatment following the crash, the patrol said.

Troop B of the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to and investigated the incident, which is identified in agency records as crash number 260351155.

No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash. The extent of vehicle damage and further details on how the collision occurred have not been released.
