An 18-wheeler rammed into a wall on the Dallas North Tollway and burst into flames, hospitalizing 3 people.
The single-vehicle incident happened on late Sunday morning at around 11:55 a.m. at the intersection with Interstate 635. The driver lost balance and struck a crash attenuator, as per the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The fuel tank of the 18-wheeler, loaded with ceramic tile, broke apart and ignited, the DPS said.
However, the driver and two passengers managed to escape before the cab caught fire completely. Afterwards, medics transported three people to a local hospital as a precaution with injuries not believed to be critical, Dallas Fire-Rescue said.
