Female pedestrian in critical condition after being struck by a bus in Menlo Park (Menlo Park, CA)

A female pedestrian was critically injured after getting struck by a vehicle in Menlo Park.

As per the initial information, the pedestrian crash took place near El Camino Real and Glenwood Avenue. The early reports showed that the bus hit a pedestrian along El Camino Real. The victim was rushed to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Initially, authorities were unable to identify the woman, but after a brief investigation, she was identified as a reported missing person out of the city of San Mateo. The southbound lanes of El Camino Real were shut down between Encinal and Glenwood avenues for the about 4-6 hours early Wednesday to give way to the investigation. The lanes reopened at around 7 a.m. No other details have been shared.

The incident remains under investigation.
