A female pedestrian lost her life after getting struck by a vehicle Sunday in the Vermont-Slauson area of South Los Angeles.
As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash was reported at 9:08 p.m. in the area of Normandie Avenue and 59th Street. The early reports showed that a woman was crossing Normandie Avenue in a marked crosswalk when she was hit by a northbound vehicle.
The vehicle did not stop and continued northbound. The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. Authorities have not provided any details regarding the suspect or the hit-and-run vehicle. No other information is available.
